Hello and welcome to the Jumping Pumkin food blog. My name is Balázs. Two things I love to do in my free time is cooking and writing. After having started several successful food blogs in my native language, I decided to start a website about food and sharing my best recipes in English.

Why Jumping Pumpkin?

It’s not that easy to find a good name for your food blog that expresses your approach to cooking and have not been taken yet. Really. 😀 It turns out that all the good ideas that come to your mind are already in use, or at least the domain name is registered. Believe me, we’ve tried dozens of name ideas before finally settling with the funny and bright name of Jumping Pumpkin.

Jumping conveys happiness. Even if you are not literally jumping in your kitchen, I hope making the recipes that you find on this website will bring happiness and joy to your everyday life.

Pumpkin, well pumpkin is one of the most versatile ingredients. It just represents all the creativity that’s happening in a kitchen. Vibrant colors, heavenly smells, and the promise of an abundant life even in the darkest and coldest days of winter.

And most importantly in today’s health-oriented environment, I know of no diet that does not allow you to eat pumpkin. This totally reflects my intent that I want to publish all kinds of recipes that may be suitable for different tastes and diets.
